Drive through the best city race tracks
City Racing 3D is a free racing video game that lets you cruise through beautiful cityscapes. Developed by Feamber, this 3D game is a PC port that features stunning graphics, easy car controls, responsive vehicle physics, and various game modes.
Similar to City Racing 2, City Racing 3D boasts beautiful 3D models for its cars and explorable map. However, its main issue is that its mobile version controls weren’t changed to suit PCs. You can only either click on icons to simulate the touchscreen controls or use the classic keyboard directional keys to steer.
Is City Racing 3D offline or online?
City Racing 3D is just like other vehicular racing games. You control a car of your choice and try to win first place in races by maneuvering through the tracks as quickly as possible. Here, you can use the nitro boosts that you collect and drifting techniques in order to speed through the difficult terrain. After each race, you’re awarded stars and points based on your performance.
There are four game modes available: Classic, Elimination, One-on-One, and Test Drive. The first three are against AI and other players—offering online multiplayer mode—while the last one is for practice. There are also various cities and tracks you can visit, such as Tokyo, Paris, Cairo, London, and the like. Additionally, you can collect different cars with different builds to them. However, it’s not easy to play this game on PC.
For starters, the game often crashes when loading you back into the main menu—and it usually doesn’t retain your previous data. Plus, the controls aren’t really optimized for desktop. It still uses touchscreen and tilt controls, so you either have to use your mouse to click on the icons or press the left and right arrow keys on the keyboard to move. Unfortunately, there are no instructions for keyboard controls.
Badly needs an overhaul
All in all, City Racing 3D isn’t really the best PC port for a racing game. While it does retain the original version’s high-quality graphics, the controls on your computer leave much to be desired. It doesn’t help that the game frequently crashes and even resets your data—forcing you to start from scratch. It’s much better to just play the game on mobile.
